Earth hour
Re: Earth hour
I was an Earth Hour cynic, thinking how ridiculous it was with all this turning on and off of lights. Totally self-defeating. But I'm converted . . . I dunno if it was the vomitous media coverage or what, but I took part in Earth Hour 2011. Although I didn't turn my lights on and off just a measly once I flicked'em on and off as many times as I could to make up for all the non-believers.

Re: Earth hour
Now Bob that is an intelligent and power saving hint...well done. Also just to add to that they are very easy also to insert into inside pot plants so you could actually have a few of them to really light the place up. Excellent tip Bob
Marty you are such a good helper to green causes...why didn't the rest of us think of that. That would have saved a lot especially if you had those fancy nancy twirly whirly bulb thingies in .

Re: Earth hour
... and I slept through the event with the lights and airconditioner on with all the windows in the house open. That was after emptying the beer fridge (forgot to turn that off too) ... I think Earth Hour is wasted on people like me ...

One day you may see the “Light." but! Not if it’s turned off!

Right on Bill and how many people understand how long it takes to wind down and restart a oil or coal fired power station, in one hour the power station just keeps plugging away. But if the whole world goes nuke we will not need electricity ‘cos we’ll all glow in the dark.

Bloody great idea those garden lights but how the hell can they work when the sun don't shine ? Seven more days of rain forcast and we are just getting the edge. Dave and Marty must really be sick ok it all now. Put one of those moisture camel things in the cupboard and it filled up in two days >
