Wheels

Post by Stephen Whiteside » Tue Sep 15, 2015 2:21 pm

Wheels

Wheels.
Where would we be without wheels?
The burning of rubber, the squeals?
The bargains, the second hand deals?

Wheels.
What would we do without wheels?
How would we purchase our meals?
Oranges? Coffee? Smoked eels?

Wheels.
Life would be dull without wheels.
See how the diary congeals?
All of us down at our heels.

Wheels.
Nature knows nothing of wheels.
The wood ducks, the chestnut and teals,
No matter the types of alleles.

Wheels.
Water is useless for wheels.
They're rotten replacements for keels,
And hopeless for dolphins and seals.

Wheels.
I love the excitement one feels
In a sports car at large, and the peels
Of laughter, the shrieks and the squeals.

Wheels!

Interesting. Sort of free association approach to poetry building.

Wheels in nature ? have you ever seen the configuration of a cyclone.

I had to look up "alleles", I've learnt something. ;)

Thanks, Neville. Yes, fair point about cyclones. What I meant was that no life forms have wheels. I didn't express myself properly. Yes, I know there are circular life forms, but circles are not the same as wheels. Perhaps that goes for cyclones, too, come to think about it. Apology retracted!

Cleverly done Stephen.
Smoked eel tastes just as good as smoked salmon when you haven't got any smoked salmon.
Also ... happy birthday.

Another good read Stephen...and since I still seem to be having trouble posting on the Members Birthdays page, I'm going to cheat yet again and say HAPPY BIRTHDAY here! Hope you have a wonderful day! :)
