Norovirus

Post by Mal McLean » Thu Jun 18, 2015 5:33 pm

NOROVIRUS
-an uncertain structure-

Oh what sprite has come my way
and slowly cursed me manifold
and robbed me of my dignity
while rotting all both new and old
and real or fey.

Oh what evil thing this day
that unbinds all that I may hold.
Oh Fates, come pluck my eye
or fester skin with putrid mould
and nine-tailes flay!

Thou hast gripped me.
Thou hast ripped me.
Burned me. Slashed me.
Pained me. Wracked me.
Driven spikes through muscle bands.
Turned my mouth to desert sands.
Opened up the gates of hell!

…and all because of unclean hands.

'and ninetales flay'

Love it, though should it not be nine-tails as in 'cat o'nine tails'

Great verse, and sympathies.

A good one to hang on the bathroom door, Mal? Or above the Dettol dispenser? Good to know you're back on deck!

I would do that Dave.

With A big sign

Wash Ya Hands Ya Bloody Mug

Noroviruses are very infectious and can spread easily from person-to-person. Both faeces and vomit are infectious. People can become infected with the virus in several ways, including:
◾eating food or drinking liquids that are contaminated with norovirus by food handlers who have not washed their hands adequately or from environmental contamination
◾touching surfaces or objects contaminated with norovirus and then placing their hands in their mouth, or eating before washing their hands

If ya gonna pick ya nose
and then wipe it on ya bloody cloths
or wipe ya bum after the loo
Well here's a tip that's just for you.

Scrub ya hands and scrub them well.
or you're sure to feel unwell.
Disinfect before you eat
A little hygene can't be beat.

There is nothing worse then noro bug
so be smart and not a mug
If ya don't want swollen glands
WASH YA BLOODY HANDS !
The purpose in life is to have fun.
After you grasp that everything else seems insignificant !!!

Trouble is Bob, it's more likely to be the person in the sandwich shop or the cake shop who hasn't washed their hands. When I have occasions to use the public loos in shopping malls I notice how blokes stride out of the no.2s section and straight out the door without washing. Eeeeerk.
