Hi everyone. This is the lyric to a song I will be recording on Friday of next week. A simple little blues number. Search hard enough and you may find it and a couple of other numbers on Youtube
BLUE WATER BAY
Still waters run deep
and I cannot swim.
No current to sweep
away all my sin.
These waters won't float
my troubles away.
Still waters run deep
on Blue Water Bay.
Gonna build me a boat
to sail on the tide.
Gonna carry me 'cross
to the other side.
Where the sun's gonna shine
most every day,
and all will be fine
on Blue Water Bay.
So send me a breeze
my fair weather friend,
to carry me through
to my journey's end,
where skies will be clear,
not cloudy and grey.
I'll wait for you there
by Blue Water Bay.
Still waters run deep
and I cannot swim.
No current to sweep
away all my sin.
These waters won't float
my troubles away.
Still waters run deep
on Blue Water Bay.
Still waters run deep
on Blue Water Bay.

Re: BLUE WATER BAY (SONG LYRIC)
...And this I love! Despite having no idea of the tune I feel as if I can actually 'see and hear' you singing this as the lyrics are so perfect for a blues song. Best of luck with the recording Allan, and congratulations!

Re: BLUE WATER BAY (SONG LYRIC)
Seems a bit short Allan ?
Perhaps another two verses and an internal chorus .

The purpose in life is to have fun.
After you grasp that everything else seems insignificant !!!

Thanks Catherine. If it comes out ok I will let you know.
Thanks Bob. I have timed it and it comes in at 3 minutes 15 seconds, which is about right. There will be an instrumental bit which breaks up the lyrics.
