There's a lot of biblical references there Glenny. Hallelujah, Devil, Jonah, Christ, have you been doing some reading.

Actually to be pedantic ( rare for me  ) hallelujah is a phrase, the first word being Hallel, the second U and the third Jah. You shouldn't break the phrase at halle-.

Hallel-u-Jah.
Hallel ( praise ) U ( to ) Jah ( Jah short for Jahweh or God ).

Your computer vicissitudes probably owe more to the vagaries of electronics than to any divine intervention or satanic mischief :) so I suppose we don't need to pray that things will keep going for you ;)

You needed to know that didn't you  Good to hear from you.

Oh. Ooowaaah. I didna mean to swear at God! (I'm done for, now.)

haven't been reading a lot lately, Neville..but whatever I have read stays pretty solid in my memory. ;)

Funny thing....I've been a tad 'down' lately & wracking my brains as to why....Being as how I've sprung back to life somewhat, it would seem that (finally) being able to access our site has cheered me up. So there ya go. For all of our squabbles & mayhem, I'd say the site contributes far more to our happiness than we may realise. Goodo! (If I suddenly disappear again, put your money on my submerging myself in debt....at the computer shop!)
Cheeerioo........ :D

Yep!! And a lovely geek that comes to your home!! :o ....but he sold out and the new geek absconded...leaving the bonza pc that croc built me locked up in the shop with 50 others. Hence my struggle with the old antique 'back up' pc. (That does its job well as it really gets my back up!) Anyway....after a year or so the absconder came back (they take things slow out here) and I collared him, and we set to work together to try to find my good pc....which we ultimately did....and which he now tells me has a stuffed video card and needs a new motherboard. Deeep sigh. Forward to Plan C. Bundle the lot up and cart it down to my Grandaughter's house full of young geeks (the only ones to trust) and hope some sort of functioning apparatus can be selveged from the mess. Hopefully Plan D won't be required....ie. my credit card exploding within my purse.

(That was the short answer Bobbo................  )

A day in the life of Glenny. Nothing short of what I'd expect. :)

sounds like a title of a Glenny Palmer poem "The Absconding Geek of Theodore"

we actually were spoilt in little ole Cooktown until recently having 2 geeks. Competing geeks meant prompt service and good prices, but unfortunately there was a big standoff in the main street, you know, this town aint big enough for the two of us - competing geeks at 20 paces armed with nothing but something probably wittier than I can think of at the minute.

It is scary that these people (don't be scared of the Muslims) will take over the earth.
