The constitution makes no mention of party politics (doesn't even mention the terms "Prime Minister" or "cabinet") - it has been a product of political evolution. Therefore independants are the only ones truly abiding by it. Always been a major blight on our political system where most reps whether HR or Senate vote how they are told by their party, except in extenuating circumstance where they are allowed to vote on their concience - which should not come into it. What about the constituents that voted them in? . . . mind you we all always get the government we deserve.

Now . . . onto religion

Thought for the day: my daughter asked me what parenthood was like, so I just kept interrupting her until she cried

I've been to four art galleries this year - and not one game of football or cricket.... :)

Yes, but, how many people watch the art gallery or the museum every Friday night or Saturday arvo on TV during winter??

I say - do not let your narrow confines of what constitutes "art" deny yourselves the joy of watching an adonis-like figure "fly like an Angel" for a piece of pigskin in the middle of a colosseum in front of a hundred thousand enthusiasts who are simultaneously yelling "Specceeeee!" in pure unadulterated joy on an otherwise drizzly winter afternoon. :|
