Get with it " poets ". da DUM da DUM da DUM ; the iambic beat so beloved of the bush balladists, makes the same rhythm as a heart beat .
Barry Rutter was making the point that this most used of poetic rhythm in the English language follows the organic, basic human life force , hence it has the most appeal and connection to the ear, mind and soul of the English speaker.
We are interested in discussing poetic issues aren't we ?





If I'm on heat there aren't enough kilojoules to boil a thimbleful of water. ;) :)

The first heart sound is made by the closure of the mitral and tricuspid valves. The second heart sound is made by the closure of the aortic and pulmonary valves. I think I remember that right.

Sometimes there is a third - and even a fourth - heart sound, those these are usually signs of pathology. A third heart sound can sometimes be heard during or immediately following exercise. Children with fever may also generate a third heart sound.
