Techno dill needs help

Post by Glenny Palmer » Sun Mar 16, 2014 5:12 pm

Can any of youse clever dicks tell me HOW to get the text offa a scanned document please. I want to be able to edit & format it & print it out...just like it was WORD. I've got an archaic HP scanner printer & when I used the wizard it said I could use MS Word......so I did....but it's still locked up in its scanned state.
Cheeers.............. :(

G'day Glenny when you scan a document it is like taking a photocopy and unless you have a very good OCR program you are unable to edit it. Not much help A.
Sorry

WHEEEHA! I dood it! All on my techno dill self. I googled 'how to' & you just gotta save your scanned doc as a TIFF file. Then you open this marvellous little gem called Microsoft Office Document Imaging & copy & paste into a Word file....YAY! :geek: :D
