Thanks Bob,
I thought it was there somewhere.
You must have read where I mentioned it to Vic.

It's funny how that feeling still persist, at times you can really sense it - perhaps I've spent too much time out bush Bob.

Cheers mate

You can never spend to much time in the bush Mate.

Home is where your heart is.

Yea something like that Bob.

Speaking about this poem, I've always liked this one, but perhaps you need to have spent the time out there like I have to really appreciate it.
I know that when we first started prospecting for gold in the seventies, most of the fields we visited had been abandoned for many years, It was like walking back through history. You'd see the piles of bottles and old rusted cans where a small town had once been, along with the odd old graveyard that had been long forgotten. Much the same applies I imagine as when visiting any historical place for the first time.
Some areas of gold fields now seem to have lost a bit of that aura because so many people have visited parts of it these days. But there are still isolated spots that are rarely visited and the odd lonely grave you stumble across still stirs something in me at least.
Despite the changes you can take it from me mate the ghosts are still out there.

Cheers Terry

I take that a real compliment Brenda.
For some reason I seem to have slowed right down with my writing of late,
perhaps I'll find my second wind again soon. - Cheers Terry

Thanks Marty
