'Little Z'
G'day,
Where to start? My son and his partner were delighted to inform us a few months back that they were expecting their first child. Secretly they told me that, if it was a girl they were naming her Zondrae. During the pregnancy they began to call her 'Little Z'. Things were progressing nicely til a routine ultrasound showed a big problem with her heart. To cut out all the medical stuff and get to the facts Premature labour was spontaneous and at 29 weeks of gestation our 'Little Z' was born. Her hair was red and she looked perfect. Unfortunately due to several over whelming problems her little life was only round 48 hours. We are all shattered.

Zondrae
My poem from long ago to try to say that we share (as much as one can) in your feeling of loss. Little Z will live on in your hearts.
Brenda and Hal
TO LIAM
You were there, however unbelievable
warm within the confines of our love
fulfilment of our half-forgotten hopes
And we grew closer as the night hours passed
sharing in the natural magic glow
as prelude to how we would grow
together
What called to you from unknown realms
that you felt bound to leave us?
What took your spirit far
to answer someone else’s need?
We’d waited long for you
little stranger
In the cold light of our pain
the aftermath of your presence
finds us mourning
not the embryo
but the vision of you incarnate
and our dream for our life
together

God's need for your precious little angel must have been greater Zondrae - no doubt she is preparing the way for the next babe that will be safely sent your way and what a wonderful little guardian angel she will prove to be.
