Me, too - me too,

If I'd known it was coming I'd have sent a cake.
Knowing Glenny (she is the mad redhead in question) she would have made the occasion memorable.
Now forget the birthday day. Have a great rest-of-the-year Bob.

ps; Bob and Glenny, we are flying this year so won't be popping in.

..now look here Robere...I know I had to leave in a hurry, but that's no reason to not talk to me!! So I've made the executive decision to post this literary masterpiece that I slaved over for your birthday....for a good half hour!! :?

NB. As much as I abhor (written) preambles: Readers need to know that Bobbity used to be a relieving manager at our local supermarket.....and...that we honestly dooo have some very odd creatures inhabiting our glorious Dawson River....

‘OUR BOB’............................(Bob was totally underwhelmed at this Title...)
©2013 Glenny Palmer

There’s some wot makes ya head ache
and there’s some wot makes ya smile.
There’s some won’t lift a finger
but there’s some wot walks a mile
to see his mates looked after
put a grin upon their dial
and never looks for favours
from the posh or rank and file.

Our Bob’s the bloke I’m speaking of
I’ve got to know his style
when he came out to Theodore
relieving for a while
and while he was relieving...
(in the Dawson)... in he dived
he’d seen a gorgeous mermaid
and with passion roused contrived...

...to have her for his Sweetheart
and to kiss and hold her dear
but Bob was full of Bundy
and his vision were’nt too clear.
He saw the bubbles rising
when she blew our Bob a kiss
and Bob breastroked conspiring
for this underwater bliss.

Now The Dawson houses creatures
that to some seem quite bizarre
and one’s a turtle with his lungs
not housed where others are.
They’re right down near his backside
so he’s breathing through his ....(aaask ya mother for sixpence)
and his fulsome botty lips
Bob thought were mermaid’s, from afar.

Now Bob is downright cheeky
but he’s best of all me mates
cos I don’t give a bugger
if he kisses turtle’s dates

(I dunno about Bob, but the punters seemed to like it....  )

I think Glenny got my piece of cake :(

Aaah, but we did have sticky date and custard (Glenny had a double helping!)

Happy Birthday for next year Bobbity.

Our aim is to please. not often you get to choose from 25 beds hey Heather,

Roast beef and veges and sticky date for dessert not a bad spread.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes

Cheers Bob
