Missed Calls (All Weak)

I tried to ring on Monday, but I guess that you were out.
I drew a blank on Tuesday, and allowed a little pout.
I missed again on Wednesday, and it added to my grief.
Another try on Thursday offered nothing in relief.
The call I made on Friday only added to my pain,
And Saturday's attempt at making contact failed again.
It's Sunday now. I'm desperate. I'm climbing up the wall.
I'm praying that on Monday you will answer when I call!

I was at work on monday, so I missed the call from you
I saw your message Tuesday but I was in bed with the flu.
Wednesday was so busy I was going off my brain
so when you left the message Thursday I reckoned you would try again.
Friday is my day off so to expect an answers really dumb
and Saturday I was recovering from an overdose of rum.
Now don't call Sunday morning cause I'll be kneeling in a pew
so by Monday you might get the hint,
