You can't say " I know nothing " because if you know that you know nothing, you do not know nothing, you know something, which is that you know that you know nothing. And if you know something, then you cannot know nothing, because something is not nothing. So how do you know that you know nothing, if in fact you really know something, which is what you know. But you don't know it, because it is nothing, and nothing is not something that is known. It has to be something to be known. But if someone else tells me that I know nothing, is that different ? It can't be, because once they tell me that I know nothing, I then know something; that something, is that I know that I know nothing.
But what they tell me makes their statement untrue, I don't know nothing at all. I know something because they told me something. er...what the.....
