Woe Is Me.

Post by Bob Pacey » Thu Sep 06, 2012 8:06 am

The Dreaded Man Flu

I sit here staring at the screen
in quiet simple repose.
I'm sick and tired of sneezing
and I've got tissues up me nose.

My bloody head is thumping
and my eye's starting to swell.
I've told the boss I won't be in
work can go to bloody hell.

I've checked out all my e mails
and all the posts on site I've read.
Grabbed my hot water bottle
Now I'm going back to bed !

See Ya Later.

Bobbo

If my nose don't stop running thos bloody mo is coming OFF !

...I'm with you Bob, I get a cold about every two or three years, it is generally a corker and this one is no exception! I had a quiet day in the office yesterday, that is about as close to a day off as I can manage at this stage....roll on 2013!

Commiserations Boys

I haven't had the flu or a bad cold for years, not sure if it's because I have been getting the flu needle,
or because I'm usually away for most of the flu season.

When I had the flu, my father made me down a drink of rum mixed with raw egg, cured me quick I didn't want anymore of that rubbish !!

...yeah right Marty, maybe you are one of the young blokes who do actually bat on with a bit of a wog, most of the young blokes I know have to have three days off if they need to blow their nose twice in one Day! On top of that I get the tom tits when you get a bit of a cold and everyone straight away wants it to be "the flu" as we get older it is sometimes a bit harder to push through all that but so far I am managing... 8-)

What a day cough . spit, hack, headache, runny nose and eyes.

Yeah Ross i can normally battle on but this is a beauty, second day off in four years.

The old tissue up the nose still is effective Dave !

Still coughing today but got too much to do at work and the others have to pick up the rxtra work load so I'll go in and give them all a dose.
