[/b]Select your category.
I fit within the first bracket - Birth Year 1933.

Then, should U want 2 add 2 the Y list.

People born between 1925-1942 were called -
The Silent Generation.

People born between 1942 and 1946 were called- War babies

People born between 1946 and 1964 are called – The Baby Boomers.

People born between 1965 and 1979 are called – Generation X.

And people born between 1980 and 2010 are called - Generation Y.

*****

Why do we call the last group -Generation Y ?

Y should I get a job?

Y should I leave home and find my own place?

Y should I get a car when I can borrow yours ?

Y should I clean my room?

Y should I wash and iron my own clothes?

Y should I buy any food?

"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs and tyrannise their teachers."

Atributed to Socrates by Plato.

Ha Ha excellent Stephen. And I do believe our next generation will be Generation XL looking at the increasing girth on kids these days. Bit sad.

"Thanks" Stephen. The old saying remains true - 'the more things change, the more they remain the same'.

Whoda thunk it.

G'da Stephen,

Yes I had heard that the ancient Greeks were the first ones to tear their hair and say."what will become of us" because of the younger peoples behaviour. Were they right?

How often have your heard your words dripping from your children's lips when they have children of their own. It always surprises me. I didn't think they listened to me.
