ABC OPEN W.A.

Post by Maureen K Clifford » Wed May 23, 2012 9:07 am

This might be of interest to some of you

http://pool.abc.net.au/projects/speculative-history

I got some airplay last night with my contribution - it is a short project writing to a photograph of a flax farmer in the fields at Boyup Brook. You'll have to be quick though as it only runs for a week

Cheers

Maureen

if you were feeling really ambitious and wanted to contribute to the production of the slideshow by contributing sounds, voice, music or an edit, then drop a comment here, at the blog, or email me at abcopen.southwest.wa@abc.net.au

Let's give this photo a life outside of the archive.

It was on this spot just yesterday that Beth and I both lay,
locked together in a warm embrace and now I have to say
It was here I surely lost it at a tender eighteen years
yes the thing a young man treasures and my eyes are filled with tears.

It was something very special and it meant so much to me
and now I've gone and lost it on this very spot you see.
I should have been more careful but love's a powerful thing,
dang I've gone and lost it on this spot, my treasured Phantom ring.
Some days your the pidgeon and other days the statue.

I had one of them !! it glowed in the dark, but I didn't punch anyone on the jaw to see if it left an imprint ;) :)
