Ha ha, ok Ross. I'll be an honorary bushie.

Thanks Neville. I never really went away, ;) still pop in from time to time, just don't post as much as I used to.

Thanks Bob, I will definitely 'keep at it' just been going through a bit of a dry spell for a little while, other things getting in the way of the poetry. The poem was never meant as a statement about what actually constitutes a 'bush' poem. Far be it from me to attempt that because I have no bloody idea myself. It was a direct reply to the poem published in the ABPA magazine taking a shot at Don and me getting a HC in the Bronze Swagman competition for poems that in Val's opinion weren't strictly 'bush'. Just a little good natured poke back at her really, no malice intended.

"Thanks Leonie".

I love the bush where I was born, but I must admit I'm never torn ( oops Maureen, I nearly did it, problem is when I write I think mostly in rhyme ).
Now what the heck did I want to say ?

Bush born. City raised. Travelled most of Aus. Allah be praised. (oops again).

Obviously as others have said, there is room for both. I write about that which interests me.
If others find that interesting and hopefully - enjoyable. Bloody beauty.

Remember, I'm - a writer of rhyme havin' a good time = Rimeriter.

Hiya Heather.

Mate, do you mean Bob Crosby. A dairyman from wayback.

Some would say - Bob was actually shorthand for Bl%%dy ol' Bu%%er.

Thanks Heather, from a rusty old rebel. :D I kinda like being a rebel again, now all I need is a cause. Anti war marches are so passe these days.
