I stayed up at Arlie Beach and looking out the unit window this is what you see on the road below. The NO vacancy sign sort of add a new dimension when viewed from the other direction.

Mate, I'm just too bloody dumb to understand the import ? when reading it from the front.

Jim as you drive in they have a sign on the bottom that tells you if they have a vacancy and when full they display the no vacancy sign.

They turn the " no " sign around when not in use but I don't think they realise that it adds to the sign on the back.

As I said, too bloody dense to 'see' it myself.
Maybe a stiff whiskey or a good port would have helped.
