I guess the reason for much of this is that the mainstream tends to be invisible. It gets taken for granted. It might not be ideal, but it's not necessarily a sign of 'self-loathing' either. 'Loathing' is a pretty powerful word.

Stephen and Manfred The black arm band is used by the Irish and the English to denote their in morning of that person. It has been used for a long time even Australian Footballers and NRl players use it for that same reason.

In 1962 a mate of mine was gored by a rouge cow and died we all wore a black armband in memory of him .

His best mate Jimmy ( an Aboriginal full blood) in white ochore plastered two white strips down his own chest when I asked him why and in broken english he stated because he was a brave man. Is that not the same as what we do with a black arm band

So much diversity within our little group and we treat each-other with respect (banter included) ...

I dislike people describing places like.

Brisvegas, For Brisbane or Rockvegas, for Rockhampton. Grate grate nerves are going.
