Just heard on the news that 6 million is being spent on Sydney's fireworks!

Did you know that Samoa lost a day today. They've changed the int. date line to come into line with major trading partners. Too bad if it was your birthday!

I really find it hard to justify such expenditure especially when so many people are disadvantaged. Seen in the paper the other where some guy spent $ 1500 on decoration to enter a christmas display competition, what a waste, if you say anything you are accused of being a grouch but how much more could have been done if that money was spent to help the homeless.

While I'm on the bandwagon, with all the damage they do to the envionment how can people justify letting balloons go in celebration of anything. I reckon out of sight out of mind but thousands of turtles and other sea creatures die every year by ingesting the damm things.

Bob I suppose you could say that the bloke who spent $1500 had given employment to the store where he bought it, the importers, the handlers, the manufacturers etc.....

A bit like the Romans, they had ships in Egypt waiting to load and the pollies decided to load sand for the arena instead of wheat so the people could go to the games and forget their hunger. :?

I don't make any..

but if I did it would go like this..
Try.. to end the year weighing less than I do now! (I could loose some then put it back on)
....... to achieve something that I have never done before. (Nice and open to suggestions)
....... to not notice when I am excluded!
....... to get over my persecution complex
....

oh dear, there are better things to do with my time. catch you all later.
