The Kembla Flame

Post by Zondrae » Thu Nov 20, 2014 7:10 am

G'day all,

Firstly I would like to thank all members of the ABPA who sent entries in to the Kembla Flame over the past three years.

The SCCMA have decided to forego having a Poets Breakfast at the Dapto Leagues next year. In fact they may abandon the whole Festival.

With this in mind we have approached the committee of the 'Folk By The Sea' Festival which is held at Kiama in September and it looks like this will be the new 'home' for the presentation of the Kembla Flame results as we feel it is not advantageous to run a written competition as a stand alone event. Full details will be advertised in plenty of time to get your entries in.

The 'Folk By The Sea' is a larger festival than the SCCMA ever was and we are delighted to know they are open to having our competition on board. It s not 100% definite yet but I like to keep everyone in the loop.

I think that would be a great outcome Zondrae. Fingers crossed.

Not that I enter competitions very often but it sounds like a good deal. Congratulations Zondrae for looking ahead.
