A mans body was found floating in Brisbane river this morning wearing a NSW jersey, a pink g-string, lipstick and high heels. Police decided to remove his jersey to save his parents the embarrassment.

It plays havoc with my Ukulele class. Only half of them turn up. Oh well we can always take our pencil and paper (or Ukulele) into the next room.

Give us a break it is another week until the next game and it is no use going off half cocked like that other team.


I have been waylaid by other things like my touch football final last night we and I say we as in a team effort a bunch of older players not one under 35 and a couple of grandkids aged around 13 ( Mako Sharks ) defeated the top side in the grand final not one of them over 17 who went right through the season undefeated. I started playing touch back in 1972
( before all the opposition players were born ) and this would have to be one of the best wins I have ever been involved in.


now back to the other game it will be tough and we will go in as the underdogs due to injuries so if the cockroaches ever had a chance it is now but then again.


Its our pride that helps to keep us strong
its place in history renown
that will drag us off the bloodied turf
to claim another crown.

So dismiss us at your peril
discount our chances if you dare
when that final whistle sounds
