I think there are sharks out there bigger than that Bob - they might see you loaded up with the catch of the day and think 'Lunch' :o

A suggested theme for your next poem Bob " How I got shipwrecked on Great Keppel Island " :)

Well took her out for a run this morning and was ok till I got around the bend put the anchor out and set up my livie on a float , could not work out why it kept coming under the boat then realised the bloody anchor had slipped and I was a hundred metres down the run. Half an hour of paddling later I'm back in position and it buckets down and the wind was blowing it parallel to the water. So noo fish but another day added onto the end of my life as is the case.

Here is a point a fella was fishing off the bank where I was loading up and was from Iran as I found out later . He landed a decent sized Flathead and went to pick it up until I said be careful of the gill spikes. ?? Now he did not even know what type of fish it was or if he could eat it let alone how to safely handle it.

I produced my little paper back copy of The Australian Fishermans Companion and showed him a picture of one, the min lengths ect and how to prepare it, I suggested he get a copy as some fish can make you sick if eaten and the min lengths are crucial for the conservation of our fish stocks.
