Sea Eagle

Post by Bob Pacey » Sat Nov 09, 2013 4:49 pm

Well you never know what is gonna happen when you head off to work.

A visitor advised me that an injured bird was on his patio / I headed off expecting a fig bird or such have had heaps in the last few weeks and low and behold here is a beautiful Sea Eagle chick fresh out of the nest.

Now the nest is right up the top of a Norfolk Pine so no way I was going to get it back up there even thought mum was circling high in the sky. The butcher birds and magpies were giving it curry so I contacted the local raptor carer and away he went hopefully to be returned when it can fly.

Just made the day after clearing a sewerage blockage earlier.

You'd have to be rapt with that

Fantastic, majestic birds Bob, though head doesn't look very "eaglish" in the pic? Maybe he/she has (understandably) pulled it in.

Good onya.

Cheers, Marty
