G'day all,

I am a little excited. One of my poems has been put to music and posted on youtube. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvSney3lLD0)
I was approached at the National FF by the singer, for permission. It is very long... but that is the poem .. and he sings it word for word. I don't know how others feel about this type of thing but I am delighted. While it may not make the top 40 (if there is still such a thing) but it is one less thing in my 'bucket'.

I had a listen Zondrae. It would be interesting for you to hear how someone else interprets your verse into song.

The singer seems to have quite a collection of song performances I wonder what he intends to do with them.

An old workmate of mine wrote the words to a hit song, he used to collect royalties each time it was publicly broadcast. ;)

Wow! Zondrae,

That always was a great Poem and now it's fantastic song.

It may be long, but it keeps you entranced right to the end.

So Congratulations.

Good onya Zondrae! a good poem done justice by the singer. I was interested to see that he was able to retain the original words and adapt a tune to fit it.
A few years ago a couple of poems that I was asked to write were put to music for a CD to celebrate an anniversary of the Afghan existence in the centre, the one I liked best was put to music by Warren H Williams, (of the John Williamson Warren H Williams duo) Sadly he altered the lyrics quite considerably to make them fit his tune.......I am still waiting for the royalties!...
