Marty. I share your distaste for vandalism. I have this strong aversion to anybody interfering with other people's things. I dislike intensely the supposed practical jokes in which people's property is interfered with.
I heard a radio program once about several juveniles in the US who broke into the home of the famous American poet Robert Frost ( his home had been kept as a museum ) and vandalised it. A teacher who admired Robert Frost, successfully applied to the judge so that instead of going to juvenile hall or being fined, the culprits were forced to complete a twelve month course in studying the poetry of Robert Frost.
One small mercy for this incident is that it brings the name of C.J. Dennis to the public mind.
