Milton Taylor Update ...

Hi Everyone,

I spoke with Milton this morning and he sounded more cheerful than he did yesterday. It may have something to do with the fact that he can now have clear fluids!!! He was just about to start his chicken broth and was looking forward to some jelly. Ahh - the simple pleasures.

The draining of his gall bladder yesterday went well - according to the liver/gall bladder specialists - and he is in much less pain than the previous couple of days. He is back on the oxygen mask and still feels so tired. I reckon this time the recovery time will be long.

The conflicting information from the various medical teams is frustrating to say the least. Milton seems not to be too perturbed by it all.

He can't understand why they won't let him go to the cricket in Sydney tonight with his grandson - and is resigning himself to the fact that this Christmas will be hospital food and 4 grey wall!!

Don't get me wrong, he's much happier to be alive than not - just wasn't expecting this run of events when he went to Lithgow hospital 2 weeks ago with a high temperature. You just never know.

He wishes you all a very Merry Christmas and hopes that 2012 is a great one for you all and is looking forward to getting out, getting better, getting in touch with you all and getting on with life.

Merry Christmas from me too.

Love Roelie
