Quite right Stephen, Maureen, but I mentioned those people particularly, because they had the fortitude to stick with the aussie style in the days when the pressure was on singers to conform to the prevailing fashion of American rock or cowboy country/western speak. In a way I think that they were the outsiders who paved the way for the people you have mentioned.

I'm sure you're right. I'd throw JW in with the pioneers, though, not with the the ones that followed.
