The Bush Poets " Live "

Post by Neville Briggs » Mon Apr 18, 2011 3:40 pm

Our local library has a bin where they put out for sale, unwanted items from their collection

I found in the bin a CD The Bush Poets "Live", An Evening of Fair Dinkum Verse.

This is a recording made of a live performance 20 years ago at the Longyard in Tamworth. It features Jim Haynes, Mark ( sic ) Gliori, Charlee Marshall, John Philipson, Murray Hartin, Marion Fitzgerald, Russell Hannah and Gertrude Skinner. ( three of them I think since passed away )

I felt a bit sad in a way that it was for sale for a measly 50c.
But on the bright side, it is not discarded and has gone to a good home with the local bush poets.

You're right Neville.
Three of them have passed away. John Philipson, Charlee Marshall and Gertrude Skinner.

Good cassette that one. Still got my copy. You reckon I could get 50 cents for it, hey?
