Walking the creeks spinning for flathead, sandflies and water up to your waist so you never know what is in there gotta use protection

Did you catch any - Flathead I mean.

Have you ever tried fly fishing for them, the love flies like Clouser minnows and plenty of others as well.

Don't like the sound of those sandflies though.

I'm a novice at this Terry my son wanted to try as he got a good one 460 long on Saturday at another spot. He has no license so Dad has to drive him so I though I might as well have a go.

The face mask was for the sandies the little bugger get in ya mouth and up ya nose.

Yes Heather I was thinking that as well but when I bumped into a log under the water I don't think that crocodiles could live in water of that quality now.

Got one hit on a hard bodied lure and my son got smashed on a soft plastic so I'm hooked for a while and he has caught three on lures now so I'm behind and cannot let him beat me. completely different to Barra fishing but once I get my teeth into something I will persevere. Good dad and son and grandson time for Christmas we don't often get time to fish together.
