Wedding Poetry

Post by Mick » Mon Sep 29, 2014 9:03 pm

Hello everyone,

I've been trying to find a suitable poem for my wedding in a couple of months. I have been trying to find a traditional Australian bush poem that would work as a reading. The missus is Canadian so I would like to have a traditional Canadian poem followed by a traditional Australian poem. This has been harder than I thought so I am asking for ideas.

Are there any traditional Aussie Bush poems out there that deal with love I could use??

Thanks,

Mick.

There's a short one by Victor Daley called "Song".

One of the very best is As Long As Your Eyes Are Blue by the Banjo (that is if her eyes are blue!)

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the help! Going through them carefully.
