"Free verse does without obvious rhyme and a regular metre, and is the dominant verse form of the 20th century."

Well, as a number of you lot have said my works are predominantly FREE VERSE okay that all right it sells my books and my CD's and my performances along with others help to put BUM's on seats what more do you want. Free verse or comp poetry as long as people enjoy it and return for more because they enjoy it why need we do more than that.

Was just a statement I found on another site while cruising the web no mention at all of bush poetry.

I was more surprised by the last part. just something for discussion ?

Amazed at how someone always takes offence or takes comments personally.

Ah yes, but will any verse at all be dominant in the 21st century?

Yes it will Stephen, a new and as yet unknown form of verse called Squibledy Dickdak . . . it'll do to Poetry what "Scat" did to jazz vocals. Brace yourselves!

Go on, Marty,

I know you just made that up. Sits well beside 'Ekkithump' (ref; The Goodies) Go on give us an example!
I wonder if you presented this theory at a University, what those 'modern poets' would think of it.
