All in Your own Good Time

Post by Bob Pacey » Wed Sep 11, 2013 7:27 am

Not sure what I was doing with this but found it on in an old file from 2005

ALL IN YOUR OWN GOOD TIME

LEAD IN MUSIC

When I was just a little boy right from the age of three
sitting on the verandah up upon my granddads knee
I asked him how he got to stay so well and live so long
well this is what my granddad said to me

By doing it all in my own good time
all in my own good time
when there's working to be done
still gotta have a little fun
just do it all in your own good time

Like when the boss has got you working like a dog
but your feeling real hungover from a night out on the grog
don't you pay him any heed
just sit down and have a feed
and do it all in your own good time

Chorus
all in your own good time
all in your own good time
when there's working to be done
still gotta have a little fun
just do it all in your own good time

Then when the missus finds you got a weekend free
she drags out a list of jobs like clean the path and trim that tree
just you find a nice big log
and grab a frosty ice cold grog
and do them all in your own good time

Chorus
all in your own good time
all in your own good time
when there's working to be done
ya gotta have a little fun
just do it all in your own good time

Guitar solo

Yeah you can work and slave your life away each day
working seven days a week for very little pay
but like I keep on telling everyone
things may move slow but they'll get done
by doing them all in your own good time

all in your own good time
all in your own good time
when there's working to be done
ya gotta have a little fun
just do it all in your own good time

BOB PACEY (C)
The purpose in life is to have fun.
After you grasp that everything else seems insignificant !!!

Reminds of the old fella from somewhere ? ( could have been Yeppoon  ) who was asked if his culture had the equivalent of the Spanish expression "mañanah" he replied that he didn't have anything sounding as urgent as that.
