Good on you Bob,

From this end.. Greg North has won his heat for a couple of years in a row. Then he got to perform at the Sydney Opera House in the finals.
It is a hard gig. From my experience the whole thing is a genre on it's own. I have heard some exceptionally good slam poetry and I have heard some rubbish. Just like Bush Poetry I expect. I'm not into it. As Is said "Good on you".

I was the only one who performed from memory Zondrae and it showed on the audiences faces, you can do so much more than reading off a phone or piece of paper.

Oh and I can not tell you the poem I did or Then I would have to kill you.

This is my fourth final so might crackem soon just gotta get past the uni students but a good poem can do that .

No you can do any poem you like must be your own of course and written this year.

The big test will be in Brisbane as the crowd judges the winners and it is pretty hard to get any oldies there LOL but I have learnt that a good poem performed well will get to most of them.

have a look on the Qld State Library site and they have posted videos of pervious finalist.

Cheers all and many thanks will give it my best.
