Yes, let's hope. I have a plan to deal with firebugs, it guarantees no repeat offenders.

It's a bit cooler here today - for now, warming up later. At least we don't have the winds today that make it so dangerous.

If anyone wants to donate re the bushfires, I know first hand that the Salvation Army did wonderful things after Black Saturday and continue to support people four years down the track. All my friends that lost homes would agree with that. Sometimes the Salvos stored things like fridges and mattress for when they were able to accept them (ie when they had a house - which could be several years). If any of you have friends that are in that situation, the best thing you can do is give them a gift card - this gives them the choice to use it how and when they need it. It preserves their dignity.

Sad to see it all happen again. Hope everyone stays safe today.

Heather :)

Keep those hoses run out Marty and buckets of water and plenty of towels to wet and stuff under doors to keep the smoke out of the house. Wet sack bags and buckets at points around the house might come in useful as well.

Make sure you are all wearing cotton or wool clothing that won't burn or catch if you have to get physical and good leather shoes not cheap plastic/vinyl ones that will melt.

Thinking of you and asking the bloke upstairs to keep you and the horses all safe - probably too late now to get it if you haven't already but spraying fire retardent foam around your perimeter and fence posts etc helps to stem the creeping grass fires

Cheers

I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.
