This was on the barbershop wall when I went for a cut today " Love It "

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

Jack Kerouac

Good one Bob. Does that apply to bush poets who don't rhyme or use free verse. ;) ;)

You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.

No, but you can cross a lake.

Anyway, it just depends how high up you are prepared to go.

But look what has come about because the convicts did cross the ocean Marty. I wouldn't be here for one (got quite a few convict ancestors). Pssst, it was Christopher Columbus's quote - not mine. I'm just sharing his little piece of wisdom....

I think Stephen is hoping that he won't lose sight of the shore in his new little sailing craft,
I don't think he wants to cross any oceans in it. :)

An old mate of mine used to have a prawn trawler, he relates the story...(which knowing him may be just what it is!)..he was working off the coast of Queensland when a mayday message came over the radio, it seems that a small craft had gone over the horizon and thought they were lost, the coast watch came back to them with the following,"Do you have a working compass on Board?" "Yes" was the reply, "Then set a course due West, Australia is a big country, you can't miss it!"
