Look what I've got ...

Post by Kym » Wed Jun 06, 2012 12:15 pm

Hulloo everyone!!!

I bought me a new campdraft mare - stops and turns better than any horse I've ever had. If I stack it off this horse, it'll be because she stopped and I didn't. She's taken up being best friends with the littlest of my ponies, Bella ...

Thanks everyone, I think both horses are gorgeous, and they both have the sweetest natures.

Yes IRene, Noah is growing up too quickly, but every day with him is a delight. I was outside with him looking at the horses a couple days ago and asking him the names of each one. I point to Outlaw and Noah says "Ow-or". I point to Serenade, Noah says "Se-nade". I point to Bella, Noah says "Be-ah", I point to new palomino mare that Noah hasn't seen before - Noah shrugs and says "No-no lello horse" (don't know yellow horse)!

Noah is a big brother now. His little brother is Koby. He's the placidest, quietest, easiest kid I've ever seen ...

G'day Kym,
Now that is a pretty horse. What colour do you call it?

Zondrae, do you mean the big horse? She's a palomino. At the moment she has her winter coat (which gets a faded dull look), so I'm hoping that in summer, her coat will brighten to a honey colour and when her mane grows out, hopefully it will be blonde, and she'll be gorgeous!

The little pony is a skewbald, paint, pinto, tobiano, overo or something or other - there are many names for them, and I'm not sure of their technicalities.

Bob, little Koby loved the ride. He "rode", as in was held in position by Aunty, all the way out to the mail box and back, and when we took him off, he wriggled and squirmed to get back on.

I like the way the horse thinks ‘I’ll just stand here and let the kid pat me.” a bit like Irene’s Blue dog “It’s funny how this little girl thinks she is in charge, but I’ll look after her.” :P
