True Love

Post by Bob Pacey » Mon Apr 23, 2012 7:10 am

True Love

She gazed into my eye’s and set my heart a flutter
her form was really quite divine and I could only mutter.
I tried to get the words out but my tongue had gone all numb.
the people all around me must have thought I was struck dumb.

I slowly walked towards her and her gentle gaze met mine
those beautiful brown eye’s sent shivers down my spine.
I stood there quite dumb founded at her flowing auburn hair.
I have to make her mine forever this beauty, oh so rare.

It was not what I had come for I was only here to look
but this elegant young lady I just could not overlook.
We’ve been together now for years and still I love her fiery style
But the first time I saw that dappled filly will always bring a smile.

Very much like Ray Essery's first time I milked a cow, so the punchline gets telegraphed a bit mate. But a good poem in itself.

Does a dappled filly have to be a horse? :|
