Lunch Time
Hey Glenny check this out, Is any of it nearly right?
Lunch Time.
Dave Smith
A poet came out talking and his pen was firing too
He was making up some verses and he’d written quite a few
He’d really got right down to it, with pages in a bunch
When Her indoors called out to him; “it’s time to come for lunch”
His face went red he screwed his nose put x’s in a row
To make him come for lunch right now it was a deathly blow
His brain was twisted in a knot and sparks were flying too
He wants to have some brilliant words just come to him on cue
He lay there squirming on the floor and climbed upon the wall
But into place he couldn’t get those decent words to fall
And lunch just wasn’t one of them; he had to make her stop
If he could find just one beaut word that into place would drop
Her indoors came out just then, with a laden tray of food
And brought with her a dictionary, stating, "don’t be rude"
But wouldn’t you be better to yarn about the scrub
He sat beside her held her hand, then hopped into the grub
If they use this © for copy right, what do ya use for copy wrong.

Have made the changes as per advice from the Great mentor and teacher.
Thanks Glenny.
Dave.

Bloody beauty Dave.
By the way - 'er indoors was politically correct way back when.
So was Ayres Rock and it's still there.

Re: Lunch Time
That is about a mate of mine,
My dear lady is yes dear, can I do that for you, would you like a cup of tea, etc, etc.
er any comments about the structure of the piece, I use the word piece, as it probably isn’t quite a poem.
