It's okay Henry . . she sez that to all the boys :roll:

And the nickname poo-pooers: they're the ones that'll refer to him as Andrew instead of Banjo :P so I don't care how long a line of Snicklesnorters you come from.

Welcome.

Marty (the one who doesn't kill chooks with an angle grinder)

ps. which part of WA ya from?

Thanks to all for the welcomes - Manfred was right, you are a friendly bunch :)

...... and Marty, I'm now in Perth, but was born and raised in the Northern Wheatbelt.

Have worked all over the state as an open pit miner, in civil road construction and in later years, a road train driver.

G'day Henry, great to see another (ex) gear-jammer on site, though the ones I drove (removals, rigid with a pig) weren't quite that big, saw a lot of bulldust & tar through Qld, N.S.W. & Vic. you will fit in well here eh!

Thanks David, - I'm out of the big gear now but still have a "toy." 1980 Atkinson with a 430hp V8 Detroit and a 14 Spicer. All in really good nick.

Always wanted one so when I semi-retired, I picked this up. Laid up with medical issues at the moment but intending to get back behind the wheel when I can.

This is the old girl with a tanker;

Hi Henry
Welcome to the site - it's a great place to visit and meet some wonderful people.

Without prying tooooooo much -what part of the northern wheatbelt do you come from? Though I live in Jurien Bay now, I grew up in Three Springs, and ended up back there for another 11 years after I got married. My parents still live there, so I s get back over that way from time to time.

Look forward to reading more of your poetry.

G'day Henry, I didn't think any of those 'wilderbeasts' were still alive, she looks in good nick though. :D
