morning Heather and Darren,

there is a world between poetry. I say between because the scenario you have just described used to be me.. but now I have more than one hobby and trying to balance my time is the trick. I admit I have been less active in the poetry internet area. I should get back to it. I am not writing as much as I was. I have been busy the past few days learning how to use my iphone. (enough said)

Heather you are a champion green moderator. don't wish to be any other colour. Green is beautiful.

Oh dear Darren. There are some things we don't put down in writing.

Hi Zondrae,
Minutes turn in to hours and meals get cold or I fall asleep waiting for her to finish her latest piece. (The little green moderator may edit this...... ) Hopefully she will learn that she needs to strike a balance but when the creative juices are flowing....DO NOT DISTURB!

Now Bob put your hat back on there. Working on computers 5 days a week is enough for me. If they play up after hours then they can wait till the next day. Mind you she probably had hundreds of emails waiting for her and countless posts that just had to be answered. Her mind was willing but the body was broke!

Neville I have had a very quiet time since flying back from Queensland. Only have a 15 year old daughter at home now (all the others have been turfed out of the nest and the locks changed) and she is on holidays. Staying home for more than 5 minutes is unheard of so I have had the place to myself. Mind you work has been very busy.

Breakfast in bed Dave. Not in our house. I purchased a professional massage table many years ago and it is probably the most used bit of furniture in the house (poetic licence....stretching the truth just a little) as Heather has had back and neck problems for years. Mind you I only get to operate it, never seem to be the recipient. Seems a bit unfair doesn't it in these days of equality. Oh well, I can only hope.

One day all will be revealed.

Oh so it seems Darren is up late at night fixing computers problems as well. Sometimes a computer techo is just the man you need to fix a problem. No one else will do...seems fair to me Darren that if you fixed the computer then a foot massage and neck rub or even more should be fair recompense

Thanks, Heather...Bundy sounds just great and I hope to get up there one day. Incidentally, Heather Campbell works very nicely...we have a Heather in our family, so one more would be just fine! Or could that be the mystery middle name that everyone's wondering about?

By the way, has anyone warned the powers-that-be down here in Melbourne that you and Kym are going to be on the loose again in September? This new government of ours seems a bit slow in catching on to major events. (Although maybe it means a bit more quiet time for Darren.)

Cheers
David

Do you have a spare single son David? Heather Campbell, Heather Campbell... I could get used to that. One line of my family is Scottish (hence the Heather), but NO, Campbell is not my middle name. Is someone taking the money for these bets? My line were Robertson and Fraser.

Sorry, Heather, but our son got married early this year...although I do have three younger brothers with unattached sons! Thing is, though, if your background is Fraser and Robertson you mightn't want to have anything to do with the Campbell clan. We're not too popular in Scottish history!

On April 16, 1746, at the Battle of Culodden, the Campbells fought alongside the Duke of Cumberland against Bonnie Prince Charlie and his Highlanders, including men from the Fraser and Robertson clans. The Clansmen were slaughtered, and the murderous aftermath was one of the most shameful chapters in British military history. It's quite possible our ancestors fought against each other that day on Drummossie Moor. Several years ago I wrote a short story based around the battle, and researching it made me understand why the Campbell name is still out of favour in some parts of Scotland. Better stick with Heather Knight.

And congratulations on the HC. Must have been a great feeling up there alongside Ellis!

Cheers
David

"Traitors" she cried!

Thanks David. I was pretty chuffed to have my name up there with both of the Campbells. It was good to meet the renowned Ellis and we had quite a long chat at Sandy's place after all the festivities. He is now having a holiday in the sunshine - lucky him!
