My husband Rod and I recently had the chance to present our inaugural bush poetry concert "Australian Journey with Shelley and Rod" at the beautiful Lake Redbrook Caravan Park at Farnsfield, via Childers, Queensland. An appreciative audience of around 40 people (local and travellers) attended and were treated to a delicious BBQ meal prepared by park owners Gary and Sharyn Walters - along with a selection of original bush verse celebrating various aspects of this wonderful country.

Thank you Heather - it certainly is a pretty spot. I should have given credit for the photos to our friend Bill Ewen who attended the concert that night.

Nice - how well do you know that area, Shelley - another lifetime ago I used to drive a tomato picking machine somewhere near there off Goodwood Rd. The Kirk family farm.

Hi Marty, small world! I don't know the farm you mention, but Lake Redbrook is certainly in the same region, though it is closer to the main Bundaberg Road, so you go via Childers instead of turning off on the Goodwood Rd.
A beautiful red soil farming district, as you would know.
