several embers of the ABPA representing our mob at the National.

delighted to report that , again, the Bush Poets Vs the Slam Poets was won by
The Bush Poets. look for the details in an up coming ABPA Magazine, (with photo)

Our team consisted of Peter Mace, Greg North, Brian Bell, And Joe Lynch. Three impartial judges, in a typical 'slam' style did the scoring. It was a side splittingly funny event, and played to a packed house.

The Spoken Word section of the Nation has been expanded to include, not only Poets Breakfasts but Poetry in the Park, The Slam Vs Bush, Evening poetry in the round (with walk ups), individual concerts and workshops every day. It has been a true 'feast' of spoken word.

No, not at Church but at the National Folk Festival.

Present are, Vic Jefferies, Greg Notrh, Peter Mace, Stephen Whitesides, Brian Bell, Ken Tough, Laurie McDonald and my humble self. And that is only the ones I know of. The are many other recites and members of the audience who may well be abpa members. I have 'plugged' the ABPA whenever possible.

At this stage (7.10am) the winner of the much sought after 'reciter's award from the NFF has not been announced. It has been a very well attended, audience wise event with every performance and workshop having a good roll up. In particular the Poets Breakfasts. The crowd pretty much fulled the tent and not only arrived early but stayed the end. It warms a poet's heart to be appreciated.

phew, Bob,

you scared me for a minute I thought I had forgotten to resize a photo. I was looking for the little 'x' to remove it.

Thanks, Bob.

Zondrae, I am responsible for the 'big picture'. Nice to have blokes like Bob around who are handy with a spanner - or the IT equivalent!

G'day Stephen,

What a team. You post big picture, Bob shrinks it to 'best for' size. Then I come along and remove giant.
It may be the long way round but we finally arrived.
Did you take a peek at the post by Raymond Crooke on you tube of my poem 'The Hem of Her Apron' set to music?
It will never be a hit record but I'm tickled pink.

You are clever,

I wouldn't have the first idea how to put a recording of a poem on the neT.

This bloke, Raymond Crooke approached me at the National and asked if he could put some of my mining poems on his site and he is connected with other 'minimg' site world wide. I feel like I have seen his face before but can't recall where. I thought he would chop into the poem and add a chorus and perhaps cut some stanzas out but he did it exactly to the poem. It is very long.
