Bush Poetry and Country Music Night

Rockhampton Regional Council will host a Bush Poetry And Country Music night at the Archer Park Historical Railway Complex on Tuesday the 8/3/2011 from 6 pm. Admission $ 5.00.

Well what a night. Had 65 people turn up and a heap of performers. One old fella sat and played the spoons with the singers and was great. Also had a Chad Morgan impersonator and three poets. Heard Joe Humphris do Boto and nailed it straight up. Joe is in his late seventies and did two sets and never missed a beat. Took up some of the APBA mags and a few expressed an interest in joining so gave them Kyms number.

You'll be up here soon Dave ... me'n'Bob'll have to plan a special get together for ya! I'm getting our trip up north dates sorted out, so I'll be able to work on the Dave Festival soon.

Goodonya Kym we have a camper booked, the idea is to drive from Brisbane to Cairns an Cooktown visiting folks along the way, I think the way things are going we should have booked a boat.

G/Day Bob the plan is to leave Rathdowney on Tuesday 26th April have two nights near Gladstone at a nephews place and be at Yeppoon over the weekend 30th –1st May, a sun-downer and a few yarns would be good. My brother and his wife will be travelling with us in there own caravan.
We are booked to fly out of Cairns on the 14th may.
Looking forward to meeting all of you .
