A new competition is starting!!!

John Barwell, who is the Chairman of the Kilcoy Unplugged Organising Committee has asked me to post the following information:

To honour Graham Fredriksen's memory, Kilcoy Unplugged is hosting a poetry comp which we are calling "The Graham Fredriksen Memorial Poetry Prize" The winner will be announced at the Kilcoy Unplugged Folk and Poetry Camp Concert at the Kilcoy Showgrounds at Easter 2012 the 6th to the 9th of April.

The camp will be held at the Kilcoy Showgrounds on the afore-mentioned dates, we have 158 powered and more than 400 unpowered sites including all of the ablution facilities required.

There is a large undercover area for workshops and the concert. We are hoping for a good turnout.

There will be folk jam sessions, workshops for both music and instruments and bush poetry held on the Sat and Sun. A poets breakfast will be held Sunday morning starting at 8am.

Graham's family will be on hand to present the trophy and prize money.

We should have our website up and running in the next few days, the address will be; contact@kilcoyunplugged.com

Manfred, the ABPA president, and long time friend will be there to speak about Graham prior to announcing the poetry winner.

John sent me the competition guidelines and entry forms, but I don't know how to attach a pdf file, so this is just the wording copied over, but all formatting was lost. If you want a better copy, email me and I will forward the proper version to you ...

Tonight I received another email from John Barwell regarding the Kilcoy Unplugged comp ...

Just a note to let you know that our website kilcoyunplugged.com is operational although it needs fine tuning and more additions.

The Graham Fredriksen Comp entry forms are there to download, and I am offering a bottle of magnificent Queen Adelaide Port to the first entrant.

So there you go folks, anyone interested in entering can now obtain the entry form, and the race is on to see who wins the bottle of wine for being the first entrant!
