Wombat

Sunday evening and Wombat came alive. I know you are saying wombats are a curse on our roads. But you are wrong.
This! Wombat is beside the road as a matter of fact roughly half way 18 to 20 ks each way between Harden and Young the Cherry capital of NSW.
She’s a little country Pub stuck in the middle of nowhere.
Where Ted Webber your able bodied MC along with Greg Broderick held court in a billiard hall administering an enjoyable brand of Justice that was administered to one and all who ventured there.
In fact 50 brave souls were entertained for nearly 3 hours by the MC Ted Webber and his co helper Greg Broderick our own Frank Daniel
myself Bill Williams, David Styles, Robin Sykes, and Fred Cheney who is an ex Canadian and a little group of Celtic Muso but all in all a very enjoyable evening was had by all and yes there will be future evenings held to enhance the Young Cherry festival And the Harden function.

Sounds a great event Bill. I have never been to Wombat, but after applying some analytical deconstruction to the name, I'm thinking of writing to the Anti-discrimination Board and demanding that this gender specific feminist-pandering name be changed to...Personbat.

We all know that a wombat is a herbivorous marsupial. Or didn't you?
As you pass through Wombat on the road to Harden, just outside the town is a small enterprising farm with a large sign at the gate that reads 'WOMBAT EGGS'.
Now, is this a chook farm or is the Wombat not a marsupial?
