ABPA members can post information and general feedback about bush poetry events.
Organisers can include bush poetry results in this forum.
All Forum Visitors can view but only ABPA Members can post and reply.

Opposition is anyone you are competing against Nev , did you not note my LOL at the end.


I've got some good mates who are slammers this years Compere Scott alias " Darkwing Dubs" was up in Rocky for a class a few weeks ago and we had a chat then.

Yes Bob, I agree - I too know Scotty, he's been coming up here to Wallaby Ck Festival for years now. I enjoy his poetry, and his performance as well as other slammers - there's much to be shared and learnt between the poetry genres - both from a written and performance perspective.

Thats all good and well Marty but the Poetry slam is a competition so whats the good of entering if you do not try to win or beat the opposition whatever style the opposition may be ?

I think I'm the same as you ( scarey hey ) some styles I really like and others not, I do attend a writing group on average once a month and the group reads out their works and I really marvel at some of the short stories that they share.
