Hot Bottie Blues!
She boiled up the kettle for the hottie one night –
The final little piece to make her bedding just right;
Snuggled warm and cosy, didn’t think she could lose…
Now she’s at the doc with the hot bottie blues!
The bottie was a hottie, there wasn’t any doubt.
It’s something of a puzzle why she didn’t kick it out.
Too late now, but the lesson she’ll learn…
Woke next morning with a great ugly burn!
There’s a burn on her foot, and it’s really quite deep –
Quite a lot of damage in the depths of her sleep.
Time for reflection, and for taking stock.
Electric blanket, or a thick warm sock?
Every second day for a week or three,
Regular visits to her sweet GP.
“Don’t worry love, you’ll be right as rain.
Just make sure you never do it again!”
All of this winter, there is just one blight.
She boiled up the kettle for a hottie one night.
Rigged up her bedding for a glorious snooze…
Now she’s at the doc with the hot bottie blues!

Sounds like you've come across an ailing patient like this more than once, Stephen.
All I can say is ... OUCH!

Hmm...duvets, hot water bottles...there seems to be somewhat of a theme here!.... A good story Stephen, if a painful one. I can't even imagine using a hot water bottle nowadays where I'm living, but this brings back memories.

I did wonder it Bottie referred to bottle or something else. either way it is a painful experience I am sure.
