Nevertyre
I know a little place called Nevertyre.
It seems that time forgot that lonely shire.
Its roads bear not one car or truck or bus.
It will not stand for any modern fuss.
The vehicles have wheels with wooden rims.
On Sunday, all the townsfolk belt out hymns.
No laptops, and no mobile phones that beep,
But lots of horses, cows and goats and sheep.
The men have beards, and big straw hats upon
Their heads, just like that film with Harrison
Ford. I do not quite recall its name,
But the character he played was very game.
He viewed the criminals with utter scorn,
And played a very handy trick with corn.
He vowed he would not rest, nor even tire
Until he’d run to ground that evil liar!
