THE AUSSIE LOTTO

Why can't I win the lotto?
Oh it really would be grand
Just to have a million dollars
And to hold them in me hand.

Just to see those little numbers
As they come up on the screen.
Would bring me oh such happiness
The likes you've never seen.

And I've worked out how I'd spend some
Yes I know what I would do.
First I'd have a great big party
A slap up top notch do.

Then I'd buy the biggest motor car
A Mercedes would I get.
A yacht to sail the oceans
And a private Lear jet.

I'd buy a villa in Monaco
Another in the south of France
And a penthouse in Chicago
If I could win that game of chance.

I'd buy myself some golf clubs
Yeah just one or maybe two
Royal Sydney, Royal Melbourne
Or perhaps The Pines would do.

Then I'd get some wild wild women
And champagne, only the best
Yeah that's how I would spend some
Then I'd probably waste the rest.

You've let me down, my poet friend
for I was fairly sure
that I could see what's coming
and just where you headed for.

I thought that I had guessed it
and the booing I rehearsed
but you didn't say the words
I have to buy a ricket first!
